Euro Scrap (2)

Voici une page d' EURO SCRAP, faite avec un gabarit de chez Toga, nommé Ying & Yang. Le thème de la page est "des bouquets de fleurs pour l'anniversaire de ma maman" !! Et oui, c'est son birthday à la fin de la semaine, donc ce sera sa "carte d'anniv".  

Here's a "EURO" scrapbooking page ... as opposed to (what is know here as) American Scrapbooking. Cleaner, less cluttered, more photos -- that's the general idea. I've used photos of bouquets of flowers and the "Ying & Yang" stencil from Toga for this page, which is going to double as Mom's Birthday Card on Saturday.

Easter Basket

Ok, Pâques est passée ... mais comme je cours toujours après le temps, ce n'est que maintenant que je poste la photo du petit panier avec bavoir et lapin assortis que j'ai fait pour notre adorable Lou. J'ai la chance d'avoir les Tissus Grégoire -- mondialement connu dans toute la France !! -- à deux pas de chez moi. Les tissus viennent tous de chez lui.

Yes, yes, I know - Easter is over-and-done-with. But since I'm always running behind the Eight-ball, I'm just now posting the photo of the gift I made for Little Lou for Bunny Day.  There's a great fabric place not far from the house in Jonquerettes, and all the spring-like fabrics for the basket, bib and stuffed bunny came from there (Tissus Grégoire).

Sac à vin

Sac à vin en tissu "pois", doublure vert uni, passants latéraux pour maintenir le ruban, taille étudiée pour une bouteille de vin -- offert en cadeau-hôtesse ce week-end.

This is the hostess present I made for Saturday. It's a gift-bag for a bottle wine, with "belt loops" on the side for the ribbon to slide through.

Winter at home

Ma mère m'a envoyé cette photo (qu'elle a prise hier) de son allée à la maison. Parfois, l'hiver canadien me manque ... mais jamais pour très longtemps !

Mom sent me this photo (that she took yesterday) of our driveway at home. I admit, sometimes I miss our Canadian winters ... but never for long !

Variation on a theme : tea bag holder

Et voici une variante de la "pochette pour sachets de thé" de ma dernière note. Pour l'instant, il n'y a rien dans les pochettes ... mais ça viendra !

Here's a variation of the Tea bag holder (see last post). I haven't put anything in the little pockets yet, but I will ! (Something "inspiring", of course ...)

2-card holder

 
Merci à ma maman pour cette bonne idée de présentation de deux petites cartes (environ 9 x 8 cm). Elle l'avait vue avec un sachet de thé dans la pochette d'un coté et un biscuit de l'autre coté. 

This 2-card holder is a "lift" from something my Mom sent to me. She had initially seen it with a tea bag in the pocket on one side and a cookie in the other. (My little cards are about 9 x 8 cm.)

Heart Box

Bonjour à tous, voici une variante sur la boîte en forme de cœur que j'ai créé il y a quelque temps. Celle-ci utilise des papiers "velours" de chez Stampin' Up! ; les 4 petites boîtes contiennent des bougies parfumés. Le tuto est toujours disponible ici.

Hello all. Today I'm posting 2 photos of the heart box I made this week, for Marraine's Birthday. I've used velvety papers from Stampin' Up!.  There are 4 scented candles in the little 'matchboxes'. The tutorial (in English) is available here.

Nutella

Premier cadeau de la saison : un pot de Nutella-maison (sans huile de palme, thank-you-very-much !), fait par Jessica. Une jolie présentation, ma fille ! Merci !! <3

Hieroglyphes

C'est aussi la saison des interventions en milieu scolaire ! Je serai dans une classe de CP cette semaine. Chacun écrira son prénom en hieroglyphes sur une "tablette de terre". Au cas où vous n'arrivez pas à le lire, c'est écrit "Mary-Jane" sur la photo !

I have a number of workshops scheduled in schools over the next while. This week, in a grade one class, we are going to "write" the students' given names onto a tablet (not the iPad type!) in hieroglyphics. Here I've posted a photo of the example (with MY name).

C'est un tout début des préparatifs pour la fin d'année : je serai au marché de Noël à Saint Saturnin les Avignon les 8 et 9 décembre, avec les calendriers calligraphiés des groupes de calligraphie et enluminure d'Anne Demoustier, avec mes projets de scrap et carterie, avec mes thés et avec ... Gigi ! Gigi est une amie de scrap, très douée, qui viendra avec ses cartes et créations pour partager le stand. Passez nous voir !

I am slowly getting into the Holiday Mode. I decided to do only one Christmas Craft Show this year; it's this coming week-end at Saint Saturnin les Avignon. I'll have calendars, paper projets, teas and ... Gigi ! Gigi is a talented scrapbooking friend who's going to bring her homemade cards and share the stand with me. Why don't you drop by to say Hi ?

Thé de Noël (Thés pour Noël)

Voici la première commande de thés pour Noël de la saison : un thé vert (Sencha Claus !), une infusion (de l'Avent) et le traditionnel Thé de Noël (un thé noir). Tous avec leurs étiquettes calligraphiés, la cuillère mesurette et même de jolies boîtes pour stocker les thés. Le site est encore en construction ... même, le site est en construction depuis des mois ! Que dire -- sauf que mon emploi de temps explose !

There, I've prepared my first tea order for the season. It includes a Green Tea (Sencha Claus -- don't ya love it!), an herbal tea (Advent) et the traditional Black Christmas Tea. They all have labels written in calligraphy by yours-truly, a measuring spoon and even pretty boxes to store the teas in. The site is still under construction. To be truthful, it's been under construction for months ! What can I say, except that there are not enough hours in the day ...

 

Card for Annelise, inside and out

If ever there was a "scrap" birthday card, this is it! The only "new" things are the two sheets of cardstock I needed to make the card structure. The rest is all done with scraps and odds 'n' ends that I have in my well-filled drawers. I had to base everything around the envelope (which holds her gift-certificate). The two tags are for Sylvie and I to write a little note to Annelise on. I'm not sure that she's an orange-kind-of-girl, but the gift certificate was orange, so I went from there. PS, that's us in the photo !

Voici une carte d'anniversaire fait dans le vrai esprit de scrap -- faite uniquement avec des chutes et des restes (à part les deux feuilles A4 qu'il me fallait pour créer la base de la carte). Elle a été dimensionnée à partir de l'enveloppe qui contient le bon de cadeau. J'ai ajouté des tags, pour que nous lui écrivions un petit mot de bon vœux. En ce qui concerne les couleurs ... j'ai choisi ORANGE car c'est la couleur du bon de cadeau que nous lui offrons (que vous ne voyez pas car ... c'est dans l'enveloppe!). PS, c'est nous là, sur la photo !

Vœux de bonheur

Voici la carte de bons vœux faite à l'attention du gentil boucher du village et sa future épouse. Leur mariage aura lieu le 3 novembre ... il me semblait que ce papier du séries Beau Château de chez Stampin' Up!, avec le coq, faisait bien l'affaire. Quelques plumes pour agrémenter le message calligraphié & une de mes roses "signature" sont venues compléter la carte. Papier de base : Coredinations de chez Artchoum.

This is the card I made for our Village Butcher's upcoming wedding, which will take place on 3rd November. It seemed to me that this paper from Stampin' Up!'s Beau Château series was suitable. I simply added a few feathers & a ribbon rose to enhance the message written in calligraphy. The card is made with Coredinations paper from Archoum.

Card for Courtney

C'est bientôt l'anniversaire de ma chère filleule canadienne, celle qui cuisine comme un chef. Voici la carte qui accompagne son cadeau. Je viens d'acheter ce nouveau die "hanging sign" (pancarte suspendue).

My favourite Canadian god daughter will be blowing out 22 candles soon. Here is the card I've made to go with her gift. I've recently bought the hanging sign die, which will be used often, I think!

J'ai été bien gâtée pour mon (demi) anniversaire ...  Voici un aperçu des enveloppes calligraphiées qui portent les cartes de remerciement.  

I celebrated HALF a birthday in August, and was spoiled by my dear friends. Here's a glimpse of the envelopes, with the addresses written in calligraphy,  that are carrying the Thank You cards.

Voici une carte faite pour la gentille biblothécaire, qui nous quitte pour s'installer dans une région lointain. J'ai utilisé, comme base, un papier "imitation bois" de chez artchoum. Le papier imprimé est toujours le même papier fleuri (voir le poste d'hier). J'ai ajouté une initiale "a" (créa-mousse chauffée et tamponnée) et la feuille d'érable est, bien sûr, pour qu'elle se souvienne QUI lui a fait cette carte ! (Photo de l'enveloppe assortie ci-dessous.)

This card is for our nice librarian, who's moving. The card is made with an imitation wood paper (artchoum) and the printed paper is the same as I used in yesterday's post.  I added the letter "a", which is made from heated and stamped craft foam.  Of course, the maple leaf is to remind her just WHO made the card for her! Oh, and I made a matching envelope, too:

 

AMIE : papier fleuri

Mon amie Magali sait que j'aime les fleurs. Je ne suis pas du tout douée pour cultiver des fleurs, mais j'ai beaucoup les scrapper ! Avec ce joli papier (que vous trouverez sur son site : artchoum.fr), j'ai fait une carte pour l'anniversaire de Jeepy (première photo) ET je l'ai utilisé pour le dernier projet de scrap-en-ligne.

(Ce n'est pas trop tard ... vous pouvez vous inscrire à scrap-en-ligne à n'importe quel moment. Aujourd'hui, il y a déjà neuf projets à télécharger, avec trois de plus à apparaître avant la fin de l'année 2012.)

My friend Magali knows that I love flowers. Um, what I mean is that I love to SCRAP flowers, not cultivate them! (My husband will confirm !) At any rate, this pretty paper is from Magali's site (artchoum.fr). I used it for Jeepy's birthday card (1st photo) and also for the latest scrap-en-ligne project.  

(Nota bene: it's not too late to sign up for scrap-en-ligne 2012. There are already nine projects on line, ready to download, with three more to come before the end of the year.) 

The lavender is harvested

Voici une partie de notre recolte de lavande 2012. J'en ai fait des petits bouquets que j'ai mis dans des paniers (acquis au moment des fraises!) qui ont été peints en blanc/ivoire. Certains ne supportent pas le parfum de lavande -- personnellement, je l'adore ! En plus, j'aime beaucoup faire des sachets de lavande pour offrir, comme ceux que j'ai fait avec ma nièce (photo ci-dessous) en souvenir de son séjour en France cet été.

This is part of this year's lavender harvest. I made tiny little bouquets with it, that I then put into fruit baskets that I had painted in white/ivory.  Some people find the odor of lavender too strong -- personally, I just love it! What's more, I like making lavender sachets, like the ones pictured below, that I made with my niece as a souvenir of her trip to France this summer.

Belle Retraite

Ouf ! Enfin, la fin de l'année scolaire ... et tout ce qui va avec !! Aujourd'hui j'ai "photoshoppé" pour la peep (parents d'élèves de école publique) ... trois professeurs prennent leur retraite, donc une petite carte pour chacun était à l'ordre du jour (dans des enveloppes calligraphiées, bien sûr). 

(Sigh...) Finally, the end of the school year has rolled around, bringing with it all that there is to do. First on the list: on behalf of the peep (the parents' association at J's school), photoshopped-cards for 3 teachers heading off to retirement. Of course, their names are written in calligraphy on the envelopes!
